Pay special attention to your CONDUCT in social affairs. When in doubt, maintain your dignity. You may suddenly come face to face with the necessity of becoming truly discriminating in your choice of acquaintances. The process of social adjustment t is in the air. Some are climbing. Some are falling. It's a natural occurrence. No one will be hurt. These cycles of balance and discrimination, based upon the inner worth of the individuals involved, will bring order and progress to society. ~~R.L. Wing
"Piety is not what the lessons bring to people, it’s the mistake they bring to the lessons."
At some point, we've got to make a choice. The choice is whether we want to thrive on the energy level of love or remain in a holding pattern of selfishness.
Selfishness depletes your energy. The tendency is to blame others for sucking energy from you but the truth is that no one can do that unless you give them the power to. You give power (energy) away with your thoughts. What you spend time thinking about will find a way to manifest in your life, positive or negative. Your power is your thoughts. Thoughts determine feelings and feelings create emotions.
When you make this choice, your decision will not be based on logic. Your decision will be based on the choices you have previously made. We are creatures of habit and you are a product of your own routines.
Every choice counts. When it comes time to make that choice, it's gonna mean more than you can fathom at this moment. That choice is going to define how you spend the rest of your life. You can live a life trapped in a prison of your own mind - full of anxiety, guilt, and loneliness, or you can be free.
Money ain't gonna save you. Relationships ain't gonna save you. The only way to save yourself is to be honest with yourself and others. Be honest with yourself about your intentions. If your intentions are selfish, you need to make some changes in how you are thinking and what/whom you are thinking about.
"Conscious mind (logic) is reasoning will.. Subconscious mind is instinctive desire, the result of past reasoning." ~Charles Hannal
